• Handicapped Parking — On Shaul Hamelekh Boulevard, before the plaza at the entrance to the Main Building.
  
• Methods of access and adaptations — Accessible access, without obstacles, is provided from the Handicapped Parking lot to the museum grounds and the entrances to its wings – and from there to all parts of the museum.
  • Access from the entrance to the Main Building
    • To the galleries on the levels above the lobby floor (Level 1), by means of a ramp.
    • To the lower level (Level -1), by elevator.
    • To the passage linking the entrance lobby level to the Paul and Herta Amir Building, by means of an inclined wheelchair lift.
    • Access to all event halls Kaufman Auditorium, Recanati Auditorium, and Assia Auditorium – and special seating places.
    • Access to the Sculpture Garden by means of a sloping path from within the museum, and from the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center Plaza.
  • Access from the Paul and Herta Amir Building entrance lobby to all its levels and services, by means of escalators and elevators.
    
• Service stations — The service stations are designed to provide service to everyone.

1. A lowered counter is provided at all permanent service stations.
2. Accessories for the hearing-impaired: All service stations offer hearing aid systems (of the induction coil type), which include an external microphone and a headset connection. There are also hearing aid systems for the hearing-impaired in the halls.

The Eyal Ofer Pavilion is a conservation-marked building at the heart of Tel Aviv’s Culture Square. The renovated Pavilion opened to the public on 6 May 2023. During its renovation work, the building was made fully accessible.

• Disabled parking — at 1 Huberman Street Garage parking lot. A free parking ticket is provided at the Pavilion Box Office, upon presentation of a Disabled Card with a Ministry of Transport Parking Badge
  
• Adapted methods of access — from the parking lot, there is access to Heichal HaTarbut Piazza, leading to the Pavilion’s main entrance, located on the corner of Dizengoff Street and Chen Boulevard (near Gan Yaacov). An elevator links all levels within the building, from the foyer to all the galleries and the restroom level
  
• Service station — the service station is accessible to all visitors
  
• Hearing-impaired devices — the service station offers a hearing-aid system (induction coil type) that includes an external microphone and a headset connection

1. Service procedures allow the entry of a person with a disability with a service animal, as well as a human escort, for holders of a disability card marked “Exempt from payment for an escort” – provided that there is no need for separate chair to be allocated for the escort. In addition, according to regulations, the service provider will, at the request of a person with a disability, provide service without waiting in line for holders of a disability card marked “Exempt from waiting in line.”
2. Wheelchairs and stick chairs are available for visitors in the locker rooms next to the ticket offices.
3. Audio guides, in Hebrew or in English, are available with a keyboard designed for the visually impaired and an optional induction coil headset connection for the hearing-impaired, at the Information counter in the Main Building (Level 0).
4. The library has computers for the public’s use.
5. Please Note! On some occasions, entry into the museum galleries with bags or strollers will not be permitted. These can be deposited, free of charge, at the cloakroom next to the ticket offices. In these instances, please follow the ushers’ instructions.
6. A system for the hearing-impaired has been installed at the Assia, Recanati, and Kaufman Galleries, that enables listening to voice content in real time via the Bettear app:
   1. Download the Bettear app in the app store (Android > ,iPhone >)
   2. Use with headphones when you arrive at the Museum halls
   3. In the galleries, open the Bettear app—the connection is automatic
   4. It is recommended to download the app in advance, to experience its demonstration and to calibrate it

Trained employees for accessible service

We have instructed and trained our employees in various aspects of accessibility, with a view to instilling awareness in the Museum’s staff about accessibility issues, and to give them practical tools for providing an accessible service.

Accessible Voicemail

The Museum’s voicemail system has been made accessible by ensuring that the information is recorded clearly, and with no background music.

1. To this end, this website complies with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Service Adaptations) Regulations, 5763-2013.
2. The accessibility adaptations were carried out per the recommendations of the Israeli standard for AA-level online content accessibility (IS 5568), and the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standard.
3. Highest compatibility has been found for Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers.
4. The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies, and supports standard keyboard practices, with the Enter and Esc keys to exit menus and windows.
